Concert Schedule and Tickets:

In most cases, tickets to these concerts can be purchased online by clicking the appropriate button below.  Some concerts announced below do not yet have that option but usually will within four weeks of the concert date.  For more information, or to make reservations over the telephone, please call 312-772-5821. The Beethoven Project Trio is not scheduled to perform publicly during the Fall of 2010 and the Winter of 2011.  Concerts scheduled for the Spring 2011 will be listed here as they are announced.  To be notified directly with schedule updates, please sign up for our newsletter by clicking here.

-May 2011: Beethoven Festival Chicago

The Beethoven Project Trio performs Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Chicago Camerata, Drostan Hall, conductor, at the old Chicago Federation of Musicians’ building, 175 W. Washington, Chicago, IL on Saturday night, May 21st. On Sunday, May 22nd, repeat of the same program in Wheaton, IL. Location details coming soon.

There will be a couple other chamber music performances by the Beethoven Project Trio during the week of May 23rd. Dates and programs will soon be announced.

CHICAGO concerts:

The Beethoven Project Trio performs the complete Beethoven Piano Trios this year in five concerts, the first three at the Fine Arts Building at 410 S. Michigan Avenue, Suite 825, in the PianoForte Salon, and the last two at the Music Institute of Chicago’s Nichols Hall in Evanston, 1490 Chicago, Avenue.

Note: the first three concerts will cover the core of the piano trio repertoire, and the last two at the Music Institute of Chicago will cover the lesser known trios as well as a repeat of our all-time favorites such as the Archduke and the Ghost trios.  Our last concert, May 7, will be our official Chicago CD release concert and celebration.

 

-Part I 1786-1794: Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 7 pm.

Tickets: $50 ($35 for seniors; $20 for students and all under 30 years old).  Complimentary reception after the concert.

-Part II 1794-1806: Wednesday, March 3, 2010, 7 pm.

Tickets: $50 ($35 for seniors; $20 for students). Complimentary reception after the concert.

This program includes the three trio works premiered last year, as well as Beethoven’s own arrangement of his Second Symphony!

-Part III 1806-1816: Wednesday, April 7, 2010, 7 pm.

Tickets: $50 ($35 for seniors; $20 for students). Complimentary reception after the concert.

This program includes the great “Ghost” and the “Archduke” trios!

-Thursday May 6 and Friday May 7, 2010 both at 7 p.m.

At the beautiful Nichols Hall at the Music Institute of Chicago, 1490 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Illinois.

May 6th program includes Opus 11 and Opus 38 with special guest former principal clarinet of the CSO, Larry Combs!

May 7th is our CD Release Celebration Concert and features the works recorded on the CD, as well as the Archduke trio and a couple of surprises!

Tickets are $20 for all seats.  Students are FREE if seats are available.  There is a $50 voluntary ticket price for patrons who wish to give a little extra support to the project, which is very much appreciated.

NEW YORK DEBUT!

-Tuesday May 18, 2010 – 8:00 PM  at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall:

The Beethoven Project Trio will perform the New York Premieres of the three Beethoven trios premiered in Chicago in March 2009, as well as give a performance of the beloved “Archduke” Trio.  Tickets can be purchased through the Lincoln Center box office. If interested in a  VIP seat and access to the VIP pre-concert reception and other benefits, please send us your contact information including your postal address so that we can mail you an official VIP invitation.   4. Will one of these concerts be what is recorded to be sold on CD to those of us who are unable to attend the live concerts?
    Would appreciate information of possible CD of performance of the lost Beethoven trio pieces.

      Yes, we recorded the previously unknown Beethoven trios last Summer, and they will be available for purchase beginning May 1st, on this website as well as in stores (the few that still sell CDs!) and of course, online at Amazon, iTunes, etc. We have information on this on our discography page of this website.
